Fun Fact: The deepest point of San Francisco Bay is located under the Golden Gate Bridge at 372 feet.
July is off to a spectacular start here at the Port! I want to thank the community for attending Redwood City’s annual Independence Day Parade, hosted by the Peninsula Celebration Association, followed by the Port’s firework show on the waterfront. We hope you enjoyed the festivities as much as we did.
This month, we’d like to recognize and thank three of our Board of Port Commissioners for completing their most recent service terms. Richard Claire, Ralph Garcia, and Lorianna Kastrop have served multiple four-year terms as commissioners, each individually completing nearly two decades in service at the Port. Their commitment to excellence has transformed the Port throughout the years; we thank them for their service to our community.
With summer in full swing, the Port offers lots of activities to enjoy with family and friends. If you’re looking for an evening of free live music and delicious food vendors, join us for our Rock the Dock concert series, happening every Saturday from now until November.
Need another idea to keep the summer activities going? Thanks to the new Redwood City Ballpark Service Pilot Program, you can now take the ferry to watch a Giants game. Whether you’re taking in the views of the bay, enjoying an evening in the city or heading to the ballpark, the ferry provides convenience and ease of travel, so you can enjoy all that the city has to offer.
We hope to see you along the waterfront!
